Atkins is ok for 10 pounds or so, the problem is there is ALOT of fatty foods you have to eat, so you may loose weight but your blood pressure and cholestorol are gonna go through the roof. It also eliminates fruits and veggies which are an essential part of a healthy diet, they provide vitamins, minerals and anti oxidants. Are there any pro's besides the weight loss - NO and if you do any research you will find most people who did the diet gained most if not all of it back when they starting eating "normally" again.
