Should organization be responsible for reinforcing societal values?
Wow, heavy question. IMHO, Societal values cannot be placed on one sector of society. Government and laws, created by a country's constitution, should be a significant contributor. Religious institutions should reinforce the values an morals ingrained in our race. Schools should help develop positive interactive behavior. TV, newspapers and the internet should keep us informed with troubles in our society, along with showing us why mankind has the ability to be great. All that is important, but in the end, all that does not matter unless parents are willing to step up and make their children first, and instill from example and from teaching both positive and negative consequences to decisions, the value of the family unit, and the concept of unconditional love, and finally the belief we can all make a difference. In the end, societal values should come from...society!
