Literary Terms Help Please?

ok so i have to do this book report and i have to list some literary terms and examples from my book. the book im doing is "Somthing, Maybe" by elizabeth scott. there is one part in the book where Hannah and her mom are talking and hannah says "grrrr. this is like pulling teeth." is this a simile or metaphor or something literary term related?? please help!(:
