I was wondering if i could sue Mcdonalds?

i was wondering if im still able to sue mcdonalds, 2 years ago, superbowl weekend, i bought nuggets to eat. i ate no more than 20, the next day i was sick, fever, vomiting, diareah, ect. i went to the doctor explained to them what i ate and test results came back i was diagnosed with ecoli, doctor said could have DIED!!!!! anyways i was wondering if im still able to sue.
